Here's some more info on how I create my dolls.

Dolls

I work on fashion dolls that have already been well-loved, and I prefer to give a new life to dolls that are in poor condition. I mainly work on Monster High and Ever After High dolls, but I have tried many other Barbie-sized dolls! I am always down to try a new doll, though I prefer those with vinyl heads and poseable bodies.

Technique

I often start by removing the dolls factory hair and using acetone to remove their factory face. Using many layers of sealant and watercolor pencils, I build up the details of a brand new face .

From start to finish, a doll can take me anywhere from 2 to 16 hours to complete! This depends entirely on the complexity of the doll.

Supplies

I use pastels, acrylic paint, and watercolor pencils. I use Mr Super Clear sealant for the best quality face-up and best longevity. I use a variety of natural and synthetic hair fibers to create more high quality hair styles. I sew new clothes (or purchase them from a more skilled seamstress!), and I sometimes even use clay or modeling plastic to sculpt modifications onto my dolls.

The dolls seem more lifelike on video! Enjoy some of my favorites.
